The Facility.

Crucible is a two-level strength and conditioning facility in Sumner, set up around small-group coaching and individual programming.

The space is deliberately divided between the primary work downstairs and accessory and conditioning work upstairs, giving members room to move through their own programs while training alongside the rest of the group.

Downstairs

Strength.

The ground floor is built around the main lifts. Racks, barbells, plates, kettlebells, dumbbells and jerk blocks sit alongside wooden lifting platforms for strength and Olympic weightlifting.

With classes capped at six, members will generally have their own rack or training station. There are times when sharing makes sense - particularly when two people are working through the same movement - but sessions aren't built around a room full of people waiting for equipment.

Chalk is welcome.

Barbells are made to be dropped.

Upstairs

Accessory + conditioning.

Training will often move upstairs for accessory work and conditioning.

The mezzanine houses the facility's accessory machines and conditioning equipment, including leg extension and curl, leg press, Assault Bike, BikeErg and SkiErg, alongside additional free weights and equipment used to support individual programs.

The result is a natural flow through the facility: the main work downstairs, then upstairs for the accessories.
